PRESCHOOL
The pre-school program is where we work with the 2-3 year olds to begin preparing them for the school environment. It is our most energetic, fun, exha usting, and fast learning group of children.
In this age group at Lil Nana's your son or daughter is typically highly active and interested in everything. He or she will be able to explore their independence and be eager to learn more.
We will encourage her vocabulary so your son or daughter will be able to communicate their thoughts better.
Your child will engage in activities with peers and develop confidence. His or her mind will be stimulated with weekly themes that provide daily activities and opportunities to learn about the world around them.
Your child will experience a little more structure during the day. He or she will be encouraged to listen to stories, sing songs, play simple games with the class and complete art projects. These skills are used to increase self esteem which in turn increases confidence in self.
Your son or daughter will also experience discovery time. Discovery time is when your child chooses what they want to do or who they want to play with. They will develop relationships and learn how to use words to communicate needs.
Your child is changing daily which is why we provide daily updates to you about him or her. Each afternoon we will let you know about the fun learning experiences throughout the day.
Expectations and Features
- Nurturing personnel who care for your child and who will continue to build their self esteem.
- Rocking horse, pretend house and dolls, trains and other age appropriate toys and games.
- Stimulating activities directed by teachers to encourage small motor development and create relationships with peers.
- Children will be encouraged to play with peers and to continue learning sharing, cooperation and how to express feelings.
- Routines are followed with a little more structure to prepare for pre kindergarten classes.
- Regular communications with parents so you are well informed about your child's day.
