HEALTH / SICKNESS

State of Nebraska requires you to have a complete health/medical record for your child on file.  It is the parent’s responsibility to inform the staff of any changes in their child’s health and to keep their child’s records up to date. 

IT IS IMPORTANT FOR ANY CHILD THAT IS SICK TO REMAIN HOME FOR A CERTAIN PERIOD OF TIME FOR THE SAKE OF THE OTHER CHILDREN AND STAFF. 

The following symptoms describe when it is NOT permissible for a sick child to attend:

• Any temperature registering 100 degrees or 101 degrees orally
  
• Any diarrhea occurring two or more times in a three hour period
• Vomiting occurring more than once in a two hour period
• Lice or nits sighted
• Pink eye (child must have antibiotics onbaoard for 24 hours before returning)
• Any child who cannot function well through a normal daily routine
• Any other contagious viruses or illness as determined by the director

A child suffering from RSV, rotavirus, hand foot and mouth must be out of the Center for at least three days, unless a doctor has given written consent to return. 

All children MUST BE FEVER-FREE AND SYMPTOM-FREE FOR 24 HOURS before returning to the Center. 

If your child is absent because they are sick please call and let us know.  It is very important that all parents notify the Center of any contagious illness, so that all the other parents may be made aware of the symptoms.

Pediatric Partners, LLC at 2350 North Clarkson, Fremont, is currently Lil’ Nana’s facility physician.  If there should be any question on a virus/disease being contagious this practice will make that decision and supply us with any necessary information. 

We are not allowed to pick up your sick child from elementary school.

If your child becomes sick during the day, you will be notified and need to pick up your child as soon as possible.

Medication will be administered if the parent has signed a release form on a daily basis, the medication is in it’s original container and your child’s name on it.
