Lil Nana’s Center & Preschool began April 1, 2000, is privately owned and named after generations of caring, full spirited, and energetic mothers.  Our family tradition has it that grandmothers are called Nana.  Lil’ Nana means Great Grandma.  "My Mother and my Nana believe in the tradition of giving children a strong belief in themselves."  Lil Nana’s Center & Preschool believes the same and believes in supporting family values. 

Lil Nana's started as a Child Care Center and has been growing ever since.  We introduced a preschool concept to our program on November 1, 2000.  Since then we have decided to have a complete Child Care Center & Preschool all at one location.  We have open arms and hearts for all children. 

Being a Center & Preschool allows parents the stability and versatility they need for child care.  We are available for families and their needs. We believe in giving children the ability to excel as individuals and to be willing to socialize within groups.  We believe in developing physical and emotional strengths and expanding children’s self esteem.  We are dedicated to giving your child the very best care, to teaching life skills, and to providing a warm and creative environment in which to grow.

Lil Nana’s provides a quality program for all children ages 6 weeks to 13 years of age.  Personnel, trained in early childhood development and planning learning activities, are responsible for giving babies 6 weeks to 13 years and old tender loving care and establishing appropriate play activity groups for children of all ages.  In addition, care for children with mild disabilities and special needs are always welcomed.  The facility has been licensed to care for 48 children.  Policies, Daily Routines, Our Staff, Our Classrooms

BIRTHDAYS

Your child's birthday is a very special day for you and your family. You are welcome to bring treats or favors for his or her class to help celebrate their birthday.  We usually celebrate birthdays by singing at snack time.  Please contact your teacher or Director to arrange your child’s special day. 

HOURS OF OPERATION

Lil’ Nana’s is open from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. We are closed on the 6 main holidays. (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.) When there is incliment weather we provide care for children until family members are capable of picking them up. School age children are allowed to attend the center when school is not in session.

MEALS AND SNACKS

Lil’ Nana’s Center & Preschool is currently participating in the Child and Adult Care Food Program.  This program ensures parents that healthy choice meals and snacks are served to all children at certain times of the day.  Meals and snacks are provided daily for all chidlren in the Center. CLOTHING

Each child is expected to come to The Center dressed in weather appropriate clothing.  We do ask that you provide your infant/toddler, especially those who are potty training, with an extra set of clothing that can be kept in your cubbie.  Occasionally your child will go home in different clothing that is not yours, please just return them already laundered as soon as possible.

TRANSPORTATION

Lil Nana’s will provide transportation to and from St. Wenceslaus School.  All children will be required to wear a seat belt while in the vehicle.  It is a State law that all children under four years of age or under 40 pounds, be transported in a state approved car seat.

The Wahoo Public School system has designated Lil Nana's as one of their school bus stops. They pick up children around 7:45am and drop children off around 3:25pm. Special Programs & Trips
